This past weekend we celebrated my niece Kaitlyn's 1st birthday! I can't believe a year has gone by since she was born, wow time flies!
I made her a scrapbook 8x8 album - it came out pretty great, I must say! You can see some of the album pages in the slide show but I will make a separate post to display the entire album (once I get the pages scanned and uploaded). Enjoy the slide show.

Our Valentine's Day Date
Well, this year was interesting...it seemed as though we were a new couple (we've been married for 10 months and dated for 5 years prior to getting married). We had learned a long time ago not to go out on Valentine's Day because everyone else does, so we simply wouldn't - we would either celebrate later or celebrate by staying in and watching a movie or just getting take-out. This year I was determined to break the cycle and go out for Valentine's Day. I made reservations 1 month in advance - and it worked!!! We had brunch at the Orange Hill Restaurant. It was so worth it! There were no long lines, the food was delicious, and for anyone that has been there before, the prices were very reasonable. We had a great time and as always the view was spectacular! Enjoy the pics...

Phone book
My mother-in-law asked me to make a list of everyone's cell/phone numbers for her (by everyone she meant her kids, me, and other close relatives)...the short story is that she had a "cooking" emergency on Christmas eve that she had to tend to but needed to get a hold of someone to help her. By coincidence I had stopped by to drop off some gifts and I was able to help her. That is when she asked me for the list, to avoid this happening in the future. As a result this is what I made for her:
This was an inspiration from a post I saw on Jennifer Priest's blog (Thanks Jennifer for the idea).

Dog Party
Yes, a Dog Party - my dog turned 3 years of age (human years) on January 30th and we had a dog party for him on Sunday February 1st. This is the invitation I created for the party:
I will post pictures of the party sometime next week (when I find the time)!
