This should have been posted on 3/16/2010, but Blogger was having issues
I know, it's Tuesday, but can it be Friday?? This week has just begun and I already want it to be over. I've been out 2 days from work with this crazy, cough-cold-fever-sickness! And my first day back I already want the weekend to come! Just thinking about all that I want to do and achieve this week makes me more tired!
Tomorrow is my hubby's birthday, yes on St. Patrick's Day! It is mid-week and I decided to have a LITTLE dinner with our immedate families. I say LITTLE because no matter how small I plan for it to be it still requires time, effort, and running-around. That is what I will be doing tonight, running around! But I do it with pleasure, sure I complain now, but I so ENJOY all this. I am looking forward to taking some cool pictures of my hubby on his day!! (for 37 days we are the same age, my birthday is April 23rd and I am the older one, so I enjoy those 37 days of being the same age!!). Pictures to follow in the next few days.

You and Me 2010 Project
You and Me 2010 Project
AFTER my husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary, I thought of making a mini album/scrapbook of all that we did in that first year of marriage. I bolded the word “after” because I thought of it after, duh, but also because as I tried going back and remembering when we did what and how, and where, and why, it was a mess. I managed to create “something”, but it wasn’t what I had envisioned or hoped for. Actually, had I not attended the Teresa Collins class in November 2009 I never would have completed that little project…I’ll post pictures of that project at a later time.
SO NOW…I’ve decided to work on something similar. You and Me 2010 Project. Each month, I will make sure we are captured in some sort of picture, which I will then take and incorporate in a layout. It gets better, I will use products that I ALREADY have, and merge it with the lovely new products that I receive in one of my monthly kits. Sounds Fair! This is what I have for January and February:
January
For details on products used Click Here
February

I used BoBunny’s Love Bandit and Pink Paislee Alphas from Crazy Daisy’s February Kit, Tags from Shabby Chic Crafts V-Day line, Glimmer Mist in Sherbert, and random scraps I had laying around. For more details on products used Click Here
And now that March has crept up on us, Iwill have to start thinking about what layout I will create.
Have a Happy Week!

I'm a little late on this post...
I can’t believe next Monday will be March 1st! Where have the first 2 months of this year gone?!?!
This past weekend was fun, but BUSY! We had a total of 3 birthday parties to attend. One was for my brother’s “step-son”, the other for a friend of my aunt’s, and the last for my niece Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn turned 2 and this was actually her 1st party. My sister-in-law did a great job in decorating, matching cakes and gifts, dressing Kaitlyn, and having yummy food for all of us to eat. I took tons of pictures because I knew that this is one event that I would want to record (via a scrapbook)!!! Here are a few pictures…more to come as I work on her scrapbook…I’m thinking more along the lines of a mini-book!

And now off to start thinking about March birthday…my mother, my husband, and my father-in-law all have March birthdays! Wow, we’re heading for a busy month!! But, on the upside, lots of scrapping opportunities for me!!
Have a great week.

Valentine's Day was Nice!
Valentine’s Day was nice…just nice…yes. BUT, that’s what I wanted; Nothing fancy, stressful, or expensive. We had brunch at El Torito with my siblings, their spouses and kids, and my mother. It was nice to sit around some good food, that someone else cooked, and just chit-chat about anything. I handed out some of my V-Day candy holders and took some nice pictures. Then we headed home and RELAXED. Perfect.
On Valentine’s Day, 7 years ago, my now husband, asked me to be his girlfriend. Did I ever imagine that we would now be approaching our 2 year wedding anniversary? Not at all! But boy am I glad that we are!
I’m sharing a few pics from our brunch.
Continue having a great day!

Valentine's Day Download - FREE
I can't believe Valentine's Day is right around the corner!! I love celebrating Valentine's Day because the thought of taking a day out of the year to concentrate, reflect, and express love is just AMAZING and necessary...not to say that every other day shouldn't be the same, but to dedicate one day to that is pretty cool.

The above free download can be found on the today's Studio Calico Blog.
These cute little tags will help you decorate or add a special touch to your V-Day crafts and handmade gifts.

Teresa Collins Raffle
I love Teresa Collins products! They are so adorable and versatile. I have taken 2 classes with Teresa Collins as the actual instructor. Each class was so much fun, full of cool techniques and tips. I am a follower of her blog where she is always so inspirational, not only through her scrappy goodness but through her thoughts and sharing of her everyday life. To add to that, she is raffling away a signature chandelier that she decorated to display at her CHA booth this past January in Anaheim, CA (picture below). It gets better; all the proceeds will be donated to the Haiti relief effort through CARE.
You can visit Scrapbook Royalty’s website for more information or to purchase raffle tickets.
I am definitely going to participate in this!! How many raffle tickets will you buy?

3 Day Weekend Scrapping
What a perfect opportunity to catch up on scrapbooking, especially those Xmas pics and layouts!! That is what I'll be doing this weekend. But, as always, I must start my scrapping by cleaning up and reorganizing my scrap room =(
Let's see what I have time to get done!

From Friday
The Teresa Collins class was awesome! It was great to have such a talented designer share her techniques with you as you scrapbook. I am proud to say that I completed my project from that class...of course it wasn't that same day but I did complete it. I have not taken any pictures yet but I will soon.
Picture of Teresa Collins and I!
Thanks Teresa for that wonderful class and for the inspiring thoughts and ideas. Keep creating those fabulous products for all of us to use!

A Slight Delay
I was unable to complete the 2 projects I had blogged about previously. They should be complete later this week. There is a whole lot going on with us right now...but it's all for the better. I will blog about it later.
Also, I am preparing for the Teresa Collins class on Friday at The Red Bee in Tustin, CA. I am so excited about that!!

My Girl
I have 3 nieces. They are such a joy to be around. I find myself taking oh sooo many pictures of them. You would think they were my own daughters.
As I took the picture above, I immediately thought of all those hundreds of other nieces (or daughters, sisters, etc.) out there that are waiting to be placed in to their very own mini albums. This is my solution; the "My Girl" mini album. This was originally started as a "Baby Girl" mini album, but then I thought that was too specific. I wanted it to be used to scrap a girl of any age!
The "My Girl" mini album will be completed sometime on Sunday and ready for posting on etsy shortly after.

School is Cool
At least it was for me! This is a school themed mini album I've been working on...since before school started. It's modeled for my nephew but I can customize it for anyone. This will be posted for sale on my etsy store just as soon as I can complete it...should be very soon.

Time to Start
I was going to wait until November 1st, but what better time than now to start...to start with more frequent blog posts and peeks of my little creations. I've been so busy with everyday other "stuff" that I have neglected that which makes me the happiest, SCRAPPING!! I will start, again, today. I have so many projects in mind and in the works. I vow to start working on this today. You will hear from me again soon!

April 23rd II
Yesterday was my birthday (Happy Birthday to me)! A while back I purchased a fish that was a birthday gift to me, and I named it April 23rd. Well, a few months back my poor little fish died (I think he was killed by my brother-in-law that didn't clean out the fish tank properly). So I decided to get another fish on my birthday and name HER, April 23rd II (the second). She is the one closest to the front (white and orange). Isn't she cute?!!?!?!
