Foil Transfer

I'm about to try a new technique, well it's new to me but it's been used forever. I purchased a few Embellishments and alpha "Thickers" by American Crafts that are foiled. I like the "shinny" look they have and figured it would be cool to give some of my other embellishments the same look. I've looked up videos on youtube.com to give me an example of exactly how to do foil transfer, but they are not very helpful. According to the directions on the package it's supposed to be rather easy; I'll be the judge of that! If anyone has comments or suggestions please send me an email or leave a comment.

Prepare for Christmas

Before you know it the long awaited Christmas holiday season will be here. If you 're like me and look forward to December because of Christmas then you will want to start preparing, physically, emotionally, financially, and scrap-fully (I made that one up). There are tons of projects you can start working on. Scrapbook layouts are probably the easiest. Just because you don't have the picture to scrap yet doesn't mean you can't start your layout. You have a general idea of the pictures you'll take; Christmas Dinner, family in front of the tree, kids unwrapping gifts, baking cookies for Santa, etc. So why not get a head start. And don't forget the Christmas cards! These can be sent out as early as the day after Thanksgiving! Really! Well, if you can find time between the crazy after-Thanksgiving deal shopping. Which leads me to my next topic...I will have a variety of Christmas cards for sale, soon! Stay Tuned more information will follow.

Remember, Christmas is only 64 days away...YAY!!

Infinite Design Possibilities

I recently purchased the Cricut by Provocraft - Wow, I'm so glad I did. I have been non-stop with this great machine. For those of you that don't know what the Cricut is or have heard about it and are a bit hesitant, the Cricut is a die-cut machine with various "pre-set" designs and figures (on separate cartridges). What this means is no more separate shape punches, stencils, exacto knife (though they are handy to have), chipboard letters, cut-outs, etc. You can make just about any of the "pre-cut" and "pre-designed" embellishments. With a little creativity you can have a great project.
