New Year Goodies
I was looking through the pictures on my Compact Flash card and discovered some treasures from New Year's. I thought of giving my siblings a gift for New Year's Day. I thought "something sweet to start the year". I made them each a bottle full of candy that was decorated with some sort of festive decorations, most of them were "Christmasy" since I still had the Christmas spirit! These are some of them as I only remembered to take pictures of 1 of the 4 I made:

WICKED!!!
Wow!! Last night my hubby and I went to watch WICKED the musical at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. It was great! To give a bit of a background, I love The Wizard of Oz. That has been my favorite movie ever since I first saw it at the age of 6. I even named my current dog Toto! and now Wicked has added to my sort-of Wizard of Oz obsession! It is only in town through January 11, 2009 so if you haven't seen it and have been thinking about it; GO! You will not regret it. I loved it!

Where have all the trees gone?
Christmas trees that is? My hubby and I were on a journey yesterday trying to find a Christmas tree, "they won't be in until the day after Thanksgiving" - what do you mean? Am I the only one that wanted to have all the Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving? I also called the neighborhood Target store and they said, "I think they'll be in on Tuesday, if not by the end of the week". Hmmmm, I guess I'll have to wait.

It's been a while
I know, it's been a while since I last had a chance to post anything - I've been caught up creating a "FAMILY" album that I will be gifting to a relative of mine this Christmas (can't say who, it's a surprise). I'm about 45% done, good thing I have a little over a month before Christmas! Well, that's it for now...I'll post pics of my finished project when I finish.

Foil Transfer
I'm about to try a new technique, well it's new to me but it's been used forever. I purchased a few Embellishments and alpha "Thickers" by American Crafts that are foiled. I like the "shinny" look they have and figured it would be cool to give some of my other embellishments the same look. I've looked up videos on youtube.com to give me an example of exactly how to do foil transfer, but they are not very helpful. According to the directions on the package it's supposed to be rather easy; I'll be the judge of that! If anyone has comments or suggestions please send me an email or leave a comment.
